Carpenter Ants
    This pest establishes nests in a number of different locations within any structure. They can produce 2,000 to 3,000 in a colony within a 6 year span. Carpenter ants are known to feed on kitchen foods, and there nesting activities can weaken building structures. They can be found in homes, grocery stores, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and nursing homes. They have one queen, and hibernate in winter.

Odorous House Ant
    A common household pest throughout the United States. It is frequently confused with other ants. This ant gives off a very pungent and unpleasant odor when crushed. The nest can be located indoors and outdoors, and with many active queens. These ants may then range more widely for food, often causing them to enter homes.

Pavement Ants
     Common household pests. This slow moving ant enters building in search of food, and sometimes is pushed inside due to extreme weather.

Pharaoh Ant
    Nests are rarely found. They feed on diverse array of materials. This ant is very persistent and can be difficult to control. Pharaoh ant colonies may be very large with tens or hundreds of thousands of workers with many queens.

Bed Bugs
    This parasite prefers humans to be the host but will feed on birds, cats, dogs when necessary for food (blood). Several diseases have been found, but little evidence that they carry disease organisms under normal conditions. They have been reported to live up to 18 months without feeding or drinking. There are several species of bed bugs. If you encounter this problem seek professional help immediately.

Cockroaches
     the presence of cockroaches is often detected by there damage or fecal matter they deposit. They produce odorous secretions and cast skins that contain allergens for sensitive allergic people.

American Cockroach
    Commonly referred to as water bugs, flying water bug, sewer roaches, etc.; they tend to live in and around water areas or high humidity. They are larger than most roaches, and prefer to feed on organic decaying matter.

German Cockroach
     The most common roach that infests households, apartments, restaurants, hotels, and other institutions throughout the United States. They can produce 4 to 8 egg capsule in a lifetime. Each egg capsule contains 30 to 40 eggs, and takes 20 to 30 days to hatch; in temperatures above 30 degrees in most cases. They can be transported with bags, packages, and clothing.

Rats
     The Norway rat is also known as a house rat, brown rat, wharf rat, sewer rat, city rat etc.; they are found around all areas of the structure including toilets. In captivity rats may live for 3 or more years. Roof rats are less common but difficult to control. They are also known as black rat, ship rat, Rats carry parasites on their fur, and often contaminating food from their urine and feces. Rats will destroy structures and may cause many health concerns.

Mice
    Mice can be identified from young rats by size of head and the hind feet. The size of mouse territory within a structure varies. Mice are omnivores that like to feed on various foods within structure. Mice are good climbers and breed all year long with 4 to 7 each litter at eight litters per year on average. House mouse will cause damage to all structures, and may cause health problems.

            Bees/Wasps
    certain species can become pests in and around homes. They also cause structural damage as a result of there nest
building activities. Some humans may be allergic to bee stings, and require medical attention.

            Bumble Bees
     whenever the nest area is directly threatened, bumble bees will attack and sting the intruder as a defensive reaction.

            Carpenter Bees
    often mistaken for bumble bees. They are a wood boring bee that lay eggs inside wood structures. When they abandon nests other secondary pests will invade.

            Hornets
    Hornets are black with white markings. Make nest the size of softball or a watermelon pending on the size of the colony. They may attack if disturbed by vibration or loud sound within a distance. Very aggressive if provoked.

            Yellow Jackets
     Yellow Jackets are very small, and aggressive. They burrow in the ground by abandoned mammal burrows or similar underground cavity like railroad ties, etc.

            Flies
    Many types of flies have affected human welfare for thousands of years. Some flies suck blood others seek out organic material to consume and lay their eggs on. Many transmit disease organisms, and are known to be unhealthy for everybody in and around the environment we live in today.
